Anna Elizabeth Raby, aged 89, died at 6 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Breining, 162 West North Street, with whom she had made her home. Mrs. Raby suffered a stroke seven and a half years ago, and had been in impaired health since that time. She was able to be around the home until two weeks ago, when her condition became critical. She was born in Ringgold, Md., the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Manns) Wagner. Most of her life was lived in Waynesboro, coming here when a little girl, with the exception of seven years, when she resided in Phoenixville, where her husband Edward L. Raby had operated a store. Following his death 58 years ago, she returned to Waynesboro. She is survived by two children: a son, Earl Raby, and Mrs. Breining. Seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one brother, Aaron A. Wagner of Waynesboro also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, at 12:30 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. Joseph W. Byers. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
