Biography
Lepha Williams is the daughter of Johah Williams and Ida Bean.
On October 6, 1898, In Bangor, Maine, at the age of 19, Lepha married Llewellyn R. Moore (1876 - 1939) [1] We know from their marriage record that she was born at The Forks, Somerset County, Maine.
Researcher's Notes
According to her Find A Grave memorial, Lepha married a second time, on March 14, 1931, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to Clarkey W. Corey. [2] Her name on her headstone is Lepha Moore Corey (1879-1932) https://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=129345610&PIpi=101038117
Interestingly, her first husband, Llewellyn survived her, and died in 1939. https://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=129345586 They are both buried in the Whipple Cemetery, in Jackman, Somerset County, Maine
I did not find a marriage record for Clarkey William Corey and Lepha, however he did marry Leola Dustin on February 20, 1905 and lived in Lewiston, Maine. Leola (Dunstin) Corey died in 1925, [4] so it is entirely possible that Clarkey was free to remarry. In any event, Lepha died in 1932, so the second marriage would have only lasted a year.
