May Victoria Sheldrick was born on 24th May 1898 in Coolalie via Yass, New South Wales (Australia). She was the fourth surviving and youngest daughter of William Sheldrick and Jane Jeffs. [1] She was nineteen months old when New South Wales joined the other five British Colonies to federate as the Commonwealth of Australia.
When aged nineteen years, May had a daughter, Phyllis May in 1917 in Sydney [2] to Albert Cooper. [3]
May married John Reay in 1925 in Yass. [4] The couple had a son, William John (1927-), and a daughter, Olga (1933-).
Aged 94 years, May passed away on 27th October 1992 in Sydney's St George District, New South Wales. [5]
