Biography

Marianne Leslie-Melville was born in 1797 to Alexander Leslie-Melville, 9th Earl of Leven, and Jane Thornton.

Her father was born Alexander Leslie, but legally changed his name to Alexander Leslie-Melville in 1805.^[1]

In August 1822 she married Abel Smith.^[2]

She died in March 1823.^[3]
