Biography

Samuel Foote was born in 1769, the son of Zachariah Foote and Elizabeth Ives, who moved from Massachusetts to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in 1769 ^{[1] [2]}

Samuel married Anna Williams, the daughter of Richard Williams and Margaret Harris of Yarmouth^{[1] [2]}, and they had children in Yarmouth^[3], including:

1. John Foote, born January 14, 1799, who married Emma Killam, daughter of Mark Killam- see Findagrave Memorial #140321685 for John
2. Samuel Foote, born August 18, 1801, who married Keziah Killam, daughter of Mark Killam, and whose second wife was named Christiana Moore^{[4] [5] [6]}
3. Mary, born March 7, 1805, who married William Brown, son of Thomas Brown of Chegoggin, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia^[7]
4. Robert Foote, born July 17, 1806, who married Hannah Allen, daughter of Thomas Allen, and died May 31, 1859^[8]
5. Richard W. Foote, born March 23, 1810, who married Eliza Porter, daughter of John Porter^[9]
