Biography
Henry White is Notable.
Henry White was born in 1791, son of bookseller, Luke White, and his wife, Elizabeth de la Mazière. He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin and joined the army as a cornet in the 14th Light Dragoons and served at the Siege of Badajoz and the Battle of Salamanca in 1812.
On 3rd October 1828 he married Ellen Dempster. Together they had six sons, of whom four did not survive their father, and two daughters.
In 1854 Henry succeeded his brother, Luke, to the family estates of Woodlands and Rathcline and was created Baron Annaly on 19 August 1863.
Henry died in September 1873.
