Biography

Felix was born in 1868. He was the son of James E. Reeves and Celina Bilberry and he is listed in their household on the 1870^[1] and the 1880 Census Records. ^[2]

On the 1900 Census he is listed with a wife; Omie Reeves (a death record for one of their children lists her as Omie Speck) and five children: Mildred, Jacob, Nevie, Corless, and Effa in Scott, Tennessee and that record indicates he was married in 1889.^[3] On the 1910 Census he is also listed as married to Omie in Pine Knot, Whitley, Kentucky with six children listed: Jacob, Corbess, Effa, Willie, Rebah, and Estel. ^[4] The 1920 Census has the family residing in Lothair, Perry, Kentucky, with two additional children; Cohen and Daisy ^[5] and by the time of the 1930 Census he is listed as widowed in Jackson, Breathitt, Kentucky. ^[6] Based on the data listed in these census reports it is believed that him and his wife had a total of 10 children: ^[7]

He passed away in July of 1956 at the age of 88 in Perry, Kentucky.^[18] At the time of his death his occupation was listed as that of a retired miner and both of his parents are listed on his death certificate. ^[19]
