Hercules was born in 1731. He was the son of Robert Langrishe and Ann Whitby.
He was educated by Dr Londer and entered Trinity College Dublin on 7 November 1748. B.A. 1753. [1]
He lived at Knocktopher, County Kilkenny, Ireland.
Hercules married Hannah Myhill, (daughter of Robert Myhill) on 31 May 1755.
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Knocktopher between 1761 and 1801, first MP to get penal laws against Roman Catholics relaxed.
Hercules was created 1st Baronet Langrishe, of Knocktopher, co. Kilkenny on 19 February 1777.[2]
He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).
He passed away in 1811.[3]
