Biography

Jonathan was born in 1756 in Lebanon, Connecticut, the son of William Little and Sybil Metcalfe. He married Elizabeth _______. He died about 1826 possibly in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

Per Hyde Genealogy .. He was a merchant and married and settled at New York. He had a son William b. at Lebanon in 1794; a daughter Maria, who m. John E Hyde; a daughter Eliza who m. Knowles Taylor of Brooklyn; a daughter Harriet, who m. ______ Blydenburgh of Brooklyn; and probably some other children.

• A profile on familysearch.com lists his wife as Elizabeth Pierce (b. 26 January 1756, Lebanon, Connecticut; d. 8 September 1840, New York). But no source provided other than findagrave.com which lists her husband as John P. Little. There are LOTS of "John Littles" out there. Need better source. --Scott Prentice
