A death notice for Hannah was published in the Yarmouth Telegraph in 1832. It reads as follows:
On the 10th inst. greatly lamented, Hannah, the wife of Mr. John Spinney, of Argyle. Editors of Papers in St. John, N. B. are requested to insert the above.

Many online trees incorrectly list Hannah Spinney, daughter of Isaac & Eunice (Frost) Spinney as the mother of children born to John Spinney, son of Aaron & Mary (Kenney) Spinney, after her passing in 1832. This confusion arises from the fact that John married two women named Hannah.
