Biography
Per his 1850 census record, James was born "on shipboard on Atlantic Ocean, from Ireland", in 1774. [1] At that time he was living with his son John. There is an unsourced Find A Grave memorial for him indicating he died in 1854 in Johnson County, Missouri, which would be consistent with the fact he is absent from John's household in 1860.
A descendant of James' grandson James McGrady Morrow (through son John) has tested as part of the Morrow DNA project. He does not match what is known as Group IV, most of which originate in North Carolina.[2] He is not connected to David Morrow 1731-1785 in Chester, SC (formerly listed as a father on this profile).
