Obituary 20 AUG 1873 St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri Note: in the St. Louis Christian Advocate, abstracted as, "CRESAP — Emily M was born in Allegheny co, Md, and died in Shelbyville, Mo, 26 July 1873, at the house of her bro-in-law, Judge Holliday. She was about 74 years of age. Having never married, she determined to leave the mountain scenes of her youth and live and die with her much-loved sister in Shelbyville. She arrived here 12 Apr 1873 and met the warmest reception.—Tyson Dines"
