Note N101Tricia Dirig told me that Mary's father, Frank lived with her until his second marriage. The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, October 19, 1939, page 2. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Kuehner, 66, of 442 Laselle street, who died of carcinoma at 6:20 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's hospital following a 14 week illness, will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the residence, and 9 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church, Rev. John Bapst officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. The body will be taken home at 4 o'clock this afternoon from Julian Schone's funeral home. St. Peter's Christian Mothers' sodality will hold services Friday night at 7:30 o'clock at the home. The deceased had been a patient at the hospital since September 22. She was a member of St. Peter's church and the Christian Mothers's sodality. She came to Fort Wayne at the age of 15 from Baden, Germany, where she was born. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Michael Plueger of this city and Mrs. Clara Koble of Garrett; six sons, Anthony, Joseph, Frank, Herman and Albert Kuehner of this city, and Charles Kuehner in California; two sister, Mrs. Theresa Dunn in California and Mrs. Magdalene Poinsatte of this city; five brothers, John and Henry Dirig of this city, Aloysisius and Anthony of California and Joseph Dirig of Chicago, and 17 grandchildren.
