He lived in Thompson Township, Pennsylvania until about 1920, when he moved to Hagerstown, Maryland. [1][2][3][4][5]
He served in World War I as a private in Europe. He was engaged in the Battle of Argonne Forest, the bloodiest of the war. He was uninjured.[6]
