Biography
Emmett Louis Till was born in Missouri on 7 Feb 1929 to Malissa and James Till.
In the 1930 census Emmett Louis Till (8 months) was the son of Cleveland Carson at 4033 Fairfax Avenue, St Louis, St. Louis (Independent City), Missouri, United States.[1]
Emmett Louis married Mamie Elizabeth Carthan on 14 October 1940.[2] He is the father of Emmett Till.
Louis was in a military record on 9 July 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Their service number was 36392273.[3]
Louis Till was executed by the US Army and is interred in a section of the cemetery set aside for servicemen who were executed for crimes.[4]
