Biography

Alexander was born March 27, 1846^[1] , the son of Smith Harlow and Lucy Ford of Sable River, Nova Scotia^[2]

Circa 1877, he married Edith Elida Dunlop, daughter of James Dunlop and Margaret McQuhae, also of Sable River^{[3] [4] [5] [1]}, and their children included:

1. Esther Elida Harlow born November 22, 1878^{[6] [5][1]}, who married Sydney Alden Richardson^[7]
2. Jane Dunlop, born August 26, 1880^{[8] [5] [1]}, who married Stephen Harding
3. Margaret D, born March 28, 1882, who died in 1902^[1]
4. Morton Smith, born September 25, 1884^[1], who married Harriett MacFarlane Harlow, daughter of Lewis Harlow^[9]
