Archibald Jackson Parr was born 23 Apr 1826 and died 22 May 1873.[1]
He married Sarah Elizabeth McCurdy 21 Sep 1848 in Washington Co., Arkansas.
[2]
He was in the 14th Ark. Infantry (Power's) as a private during Civil War. He was captured in Battle of Pea Ridge, Ark., on 8 Mar. 1862. The name was on roll of prisoners at Alton, Ill. Contracted T.B. in prison & released, according to family story. Cf. Cecil Trull.[3], but he is listed as being exchanged on May 17.[4] He may actually have contracted TB in the POW camp, been exchanged, then when he rejoined the regiment he was considered too sick to continue service and so was sent home.
