(HFA newsletter Dec97). (According to the 1901 Canada (Oxford County) Census James states he immigrated from England in 1855). 2 «b» Information received «/b» from the Ontario Genealogical Society, Oxford County Branch indicates that Samuel moved from Oxford County to Michigan around 1882 - 1888. 2 «b» 1861 Personal Census «/b» for Blenheim Twp. Oxford County Division 3 (pg 83 film # C-1059) it describes Sam(uel) as a farmer age 40 living in a frame house 2 stories with 2 families. Living in the same houshold was wife Sarah (38), Anna (15), James (13), Emma (11), Rob ( 9), & Alfred (5). The other family appears to be Henry Harmer (labourer age 50), Elizabeth Tuck (is listed as a female resident member of the family age 6), Ann Harmer (60), Elizabeth (16).
