William Maxwell Jordan was born around 1767 in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. His parents were Dominicus Jordan and Catherine (Maxwell) Jordan[1].
He married Anna Leach on 27 March 1793 in Standish, Maine. They had eleven children[2]:

- 2. Catherine, born 21 Apr 1792; married William Cook
- 3. Peggy, born 2 Jun 1794; married Samuel Dingley Jr.
- 4. Dominicus, born 17 Jan 1796; married Keziah Dingley

- 7. Martha, born 25 Jun 1801; died 1805
- 8. Asa, born 30 Jul 1803; died 1805
- 9. Samuel, born 6 Jun 1805
- 10. Elizabeth K., born 19 Apr 1807; married 1st Jesse Symonds, 2nd Frederick Nutting
- 11. Asa, born 24 Aug 1809; died 1811
William passed away on 5 January 1820 in Raymond, Maine[3] and is buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Casco[4].
