Samuel was born in 1905. He passed away in 1964. From Find a Grave: Samuel J Leming, 58, Strathmore, forman for the California Citrus Growers Farming Company, died yesterday morning in Lindsay District Hospital, following an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be held in Myers Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, followed be interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park. A well known resident of the Lindsay-Strathmore Areas Mr Leming was born in the Indian Territory - now Oklahoma. He came to the Lindsay area in 1906 with his parents: Mr and Mrs John Leming. The elder Lemings died in 1961. Mr Leming was associated with the Citrus industry for many years. He leaves his widow: Mrs Ollie Leming of Strathmore; a son: Robert of Norwalk; two daughters: Mrs Bernadine Overman of Porterville and Mrs Dorothy Murray of Bonita; four brothers: Earl and Ernest of Lindsay, and Harold and Lee of Porterville; three sisters: Mrs Edith Townsend and Mrs Edna Choate both of Porterville and Mrs Evelyn Ballew of Terra Bella; and six granchildren. Another brother: Wiley, was killed in action in Germany during World War II. Obituary was printed in the Porterville Recorder on Jan.15, 1964, page 1. FYI: Samuel was married twice. First wife and mother of his children was Amy M Stang Leming. He married 2) in 1962 to Ollie Amantha Dugger Coley. Burial was Jan. 20, 1964
