Biography
John was born on 30 December 1805 in Lincolnville, Maine. His parents were Samuel Austin Whitney and Ruth (?) Whitney[1].
He married Temperance P. Johnston on 27 October 1829 in Castine, Maine[2].
John passed away on 30 January 1848 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is buried in Village Cemetery in Waldoboro, Lincoln, Maine[3].
