Biography

James William Hedrington was born 27 Jun 1898 at 166 Paris St in Boston, the son of Dennis Hedrington and Caroline McKenna^[1][2]. In the 1900 census, 1 year old James was living with his parents and sisters Mary E and Jane at 166 Paris in Boston^[3]. In the 1930 census, 33 year old James W was a roomer with the Charles and Margaret Bennett family in Boston^[4]. In the 15 Apr 1940 census, 41 year old James was a Lodger with the Charles L Oakes family at 102 Baywater St in Boston^[5]. James and Charles's sister Mary E aka Mae Oakes would later become partners and live together until his death. They may have married at some point but I don't "think" so. From personal memory I know my great uncle Jim lived with Mae in Massachusetts in the early 50's. At some point, possibly in the early 60's James and Mae moved to Miramar, Florida and lived with Mae's brother Gardner. James died in February 1963 and is buried in Lauderdale Memorial Park in Florida.
