WIP Profiles I Manage

I am currently inactive and have no idea when I'll be able to resume work on any of the profiles I manage.

If you're interested in assuming responsibility for a profile or 10, just send me a list and I'll transfer them to you.

I manage quite a few profiles. I find that I have a bad habit of trying to gather too much information about a person and will often get sidetracked. Should you come across a profile for which I am the manager that has a “WIP” tag that is more than a week old, or if it looks like I was in the middle of editing it and stopped, or if it is incomplete and the last edit was by me more than a week ago, please, please send me a private message. All you need to include is the Wiki id (i.e. Toups-373).

Biography

I am a native of Metairie, Louisiana and a direct descendant of Gaspard "Caspar" Dubs - commonly referred to as the "Progenitor of the Toups family". Most of my more recent ancestors lived in and around Lafourche, Terrebonne, Orleans, St. Charles, and St. Bernard Parishes in Louisiana, and Hancock and Harrison Counties in Southern Mississippi. My parents moved to Bay St. Louis, Mississippi in May 1975 so I grew up in Hancock County. I currently reside in Harrison County.

How I Got Here

I joined Ancestry.com after my daughter and I sent our Ancestry DNA kits in for analysis. I discovered WikiTree by following a link in a profile hint on Ancestry and I was hooked!

Current Projects

I am in the process of manually creating WikiTree profiles from my existing Ancestry tree rather than importing a GEDCOM file. For me, this method, although slow and painstaking, is both more thorough and more accurate because each detail and source has to be scrutinized and entered. I have found and corrected many mistakes in the information I gathered via Ancestry.
