Biography

According to brother John's family history:

"My sister Mary who was married to a Mike O'Brien from Gouig near Castleconnell and of a good family, he died after they were married 4 or 5 years so soon after his death RIP she arrived home with her family of three (corrected above as "two") all young children, as she could not go out to work as she could find no place then to put the children. She decided after several months with the children to go back to America to go back. No doubt my father was called on to help her go.

She after a year or two married again to a Mr Dee, who was a very good hardworking and honest man. They are both now gone aloft RIP.

But one of the O'Brien sons was here over a year ago, but did not call to see me. His father was my sister Mary's first husband so I did not blame him for the lapse."
