Biography
Nolan was born on September 13, 1947. He is the son of Walter Topping and Alberta Stollings. Nolan married Brenda Sue Workman, August 26, 1967, in Logan County, West Virginia, daughter of Gilbert Woodell and Roxie (Workman). Brenda was born on August 10, 1949, in Logan County, West Virginia, and died February 24, 2007.

Nolan Ervin Toppings, 71, of Hamlin, passed away, on December 1, 2018. A funeral service will be held at noon, on Thursday, December 6, at Koontz Funeral Home in Hamlin. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Koontz Funeral Home, of Hamlin, towards funeral expenses. [2]

I was always daddy’s little girl. I remember singing Red Sovine’s “Daddy’s Girl” to him when I was young. Daddy used to take me to the store and buy me Rolos, Doritos, and chocolate milk. He also let me help him work on the lawn mower when I was young.
