Lewis Krebs was born 17 Jul 1845 in New York. He was the oldest child and son of John Krebs and Katherine Emech.

August 28,1850: Resident of Heartford, Washington, Wisconsin. Age: 7 years. Living with his parents and two younger brothers.Place of birth:Wisconsin.^[1]

June 6,1860: 14 year old Louis Krapers was living in Hartford, Washington, Wisconsin on a farm that his father owned valued at 1000 dollars and had personal property valued at 200 dollars.Was living with his parents and five siblings.^[2]

He married Hannah Fensil on October 8, 1864, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin^[3]. They had Ten children during their marriage.
