Born ABT 1803. VA[3]

Marriage Husband John Calvin Epperson. Wife Phanny Ogan. Child: James Nelson Epperson. Marriage 1825 Tennessee, United States. [4][5] Hannah conveyed to Benjamin Bray a piece of property deeded to her by her mother, Hannah Ogan. This was signed 6 Apr 1846. The following were witnesses and signees: John Prather, Nelson Rauth, Claburn Bull, Lewis Mitchell, J. M. Eppison (17 Nov 1847), Hannah Ogan, John Ogan, Fanny Ogan, Peter Ogan, and Polly Ogan by her guardian Benjamin Bray.

This indenture made and concluded this 31st day of August one thousand eight hundred and thirty five by and between Hannah Ogan wife and relict of John Ogan deceased and John Epperson and Fanny Eppison wife of John Eppison and Peter Ogan and Polly Ogan grand- daughter of John Ogan deceased all heirs at law of John Ogan deceased all of the county of Grainger and Hawkins and state of Tennessee of the one part and Benjamin Bray of the County of Hawkins and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Hannah Ogan widow and relict of John Ogan deceased and John

(Page) 442 Eppison and his wife Fanny Epperson and Peter Ogan and Polly Ogan Grand daughter of John Ogan deceased for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby ac- knowledged hath ________ and sold and by these presects doth convey and confirm in conformity with a contract made by said John Ogan deceased in his life time to said Bray a certain tract or parcel of land by itself and being in Grainger and Hawkins County on the waters of Indian Creek adjoining the land of Wm. Hipshear and Jarvis Jackson bounded as follows: Beginning in a black oak and hickory in the south side of War Ridge thence south seventy two degrees eighty eight poles to a stake in the top of Broken Valley Ridge thence N fifty seven degrees E to a stake two hundred and thirty poles thence N twenty degrees W eighty eight poles to three black oaks thence to the Beginning containing one hundred and twenty acres by the same more or less. To have and to hold the aforementioned premises with all the right title and claim interest and d_______ed of said land to- gether with the waters ways ________ here det____s and appertances thereunto found and the said Hannah Ogan widow and relict of John Ogan deceased and John Eppison and his wife Fanny Eppison and Peter Ogan
