Biography

Giuseppe Ferrara, son of the late Giuseppe Ferrara and the living Calogera Giandalone, is born on 6 March 1842 in Corleone.^[1]

He marries Maria Giuseppa Lucchese, daughter of Maestro Francesco Lucchese and Domenica Ferrara, on 27 April 1879 in Corleone.^[2]

Giuseppe and Maria Giuseppa have at least five children: Francesco/Frank (c. 1888), Domenica/Mamie (1891), Benjamin (c. 1895), Carmela Maria Rosa/Rosie (1897), and Salvatore/Charlie (1899).

Frank is born around 1888 in New York City.

Domenica, named after her maternal grandmother, is born in New York City around 1891.

Carmela Maria Rosa is born 27 February 1897 in Manhattan, daughter of Giuseppe Ferrara, 45 (b. 1851), and Giuseppa Lucchese, 34 (b. 1863), both of Italy.^[3]

Salvatore is born 7 January 1899 in Manhattan, son of Giuseppe Ferrara, 38 (b. 1860), and Giuseppa Lucchese Ferrara, 32 (b. 1866), both of Italy.^[4]

Domenica is 19 (b. 1891) when she marries Gaetano Bartone on 24 September 1910 in Manhattan.^[6]

In 1914, Frank is the driver in the Baff murder. He is imprisoned 1916-24.
