He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1815. They settled in Fairfield County, Ohio.[3] Following this, he spelled his last name as Nonnamaker.
He married Lucinda Houdeshell on 12 Nov 1833 in Fairfield County, Ohio.[4] Together they had at least the following children:[5][6][7]
At the time of the 1850 Census, they were living in Eagle Township, Hancock County, Ohio. He was working there as a farmer.[7]
His wife, Lucinda, passed away on 01 Jul 1855 in Hancock County. She was buried at Cannonsburg Cemetery in Cannonsburg, Hancock County, Ohio.[8]
He married Anna Soliday on 21 Feb 1856 in Fairfield County, Ohio.[9] Together they had at least the following children:[6][10]

Elizabeth Ann (Nonnamaker) Klingensmith (twin) (02 Jan 1857 - 23 Jul 1943)

At the time of the 1860, 1870, and 1880 Censuses, they were living in Eagle Township, Hancock County, Ohio. He was working there as a farmer.[6][10][11]
He passed away on 28 Oct 1884. He was buried at Cannonsburg Cemetery in Cannonsburg, Hancock County, Ohio.[12]
