Thomas Warren was born about 1705 in Dowlish Wake,^[1] Somerset, England. Thomas married Ann before 1729 in Somerset, England. Thomas and Ann started their family in Kingstone, with their daughter Ann being born the 28th of December in 1729.^[2] In the summer of 1733 they were blessed with another daughter, Elizabeth;^[3][4] bringing their family size to four.

A quiet little village, Kingstone^[5] provided ample wildlife and rich soil for farming. Thomas would have spent his days farming, as did the other men in Kingstone. Ann would have taken care of their precious children and home. A son, Thomas, was born to them in 1735.^[6] Their last child, Jane,^[7][8] arrived three years after that. The four children would be close to the others in Kingstone, as they all learned and played together.

Thomas passed away in 1749 in Kingstone.^[9] His probate was filed in the Court of the Archdeacon of Taunton.^[10] Thomas was laid to rest in the St John the Evangelist and All Saints Church in Kingstone. In the words of Thomas Campbell:^[11]

• There is a burial on FindMyPast for a Thomas Warren bur 17 Aug 1735 - father or other kin?

• I can't find the actual Will in 1749 to see if this is his.

• The only marriage I've found is a Thomas Warren married to an Ann in 1713 - this seems too early for these children. Note: I found another one on FindMyPast - Thomas Warren married Anne Chorley in Nynehead in 1729. This seems more likely, Nynehead is new to me. Another record gives the same names of Thomas Warren and Anne Chorley, but states Runnington - Runnington, Somerset, England - 24 miles from Seavington St Michael, and three miles from Milverton (where Chorley's are found), and about twenty miles from Kingstone (where they lived after marriage). Runnington on Ancestry "1729, Thomas Warren & Anne Chorley both of ye Fifth of Ninehead were married April ye 8th." (Nynehead is the mention on one of the marriage records. The record actually states they were from Nynehead, but married in Runnington).

• There are two possibilities for Anne Chorley:

1. Anne Chorley baptized 2 May 1710 in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, parents William & Edith Chorley on FindMyPast
2. A child born to Moses Chorley Apr 1711 in Milverton. This would match the parish of the 1708 birth for Thomas - though it was more common to see the bride and groom come from different villages.

• I have no idea where I got Dowlish Wake from. Possibly another possible marriage or christening that didn't fit after all. The Milverton christening fits with the age of his children.
