JAMES LEARMONTH OF BALCOMIE was included in a charter in favour of his parents for the lands of Eglismagirill on 7 February 1561. He m. Anna, daughter of Laurence Mercer of Meikleour, (c/m 9 September 1587), and dsp on 22 March 1598.
Sir John Learmonth of Balcomie,
William Learmonth, was a witness to a charter by Thomas Moneypenny of Kinkell for the lands of Camrone in favour of Walter Hay dated 13 June 1606 and is then styled brother to Sir John Learmonth of Balcomie.
Robert Learmonth, 1st of St. Nicholas, was admitted an Advocate and m. at Edinburgh on 28 February 1598, to Margaret, daughter of Sir John Skene of Curriehill. He d. in 1643
