Biography

Family Tradition says Martha Allen was full blooded Cherokee Indian. Maiden name may have possibly been Lawson.

Letter from Brad Allen states the name Lawson came from a distant relative named Janet Mannookian. Her mother-in-law was an Allen and had a copy of a hand-written genealogy which was done by the great granddaughter of Hezekiah Allen back in the early 1900's. She stated that she thought the maiden name was Lawson.
