Rachel Skinner was born 2 Feb 1695 in Hartford, Connecticut^[1][2], daughter of John Skinner (1667-1743) and Rachel Pratt (1671-1748)^[3]. On 19 May 1726 in Hartford^[4], she married Ebenezer Wells (1694-1737)^[5]. They had six children, who were born and died in West Hartford^[3][5].

2. Hannah Wells, b. 4 Nov 1728; d. 28 Oct 1802; m. John Whitman.
3. Mary Wells, b. 23 Aug 1730; no further record found.
4. Ebenezer Wells, b. 22 Jul 1732; d. 10 Jan 1814; m. Abigail Whitman and Elizabeth Smith.
5. Ashbel Wells, b. 25 Aug 1734; d. 11 Dec 1806; m. Abigail Kellogg.
