LAWTELL-Mrs. Dora Marie Lafleur, 96, member of a prominent Lawtell area family and reported to be the oldest resident of Lawtell, died Tuesday at 1:6 p.m in Prompt Succor Nursing Home.
She was the former Dora Ledoux a native of Prairie Ronde, and was preceded in death by her husband, Alide Lafleur
Survivors include three sons, Leroy Lafleur and J. M. Lafleur, both of Lawtell and Emett Lafleur of Opelousas; two daughters, Mrs. T. P. Bertrand of Lawtell and Mrs. Daisy Kellams of Opelousas; one sister, Mrs C. N.Bertrand of Opelousas; 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m Wednesday in St. Bridget Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
