Aaron records at St. Vincent's College Latrobe, PA, provide the following information on the "first name of the firstAaron who came to this country, also baptismal records of our of the original five brothers." The first Aaron was Thomas Aaron who left Germany without permission of his father or the German governent as he was about the age he had to serve in the Army. When he landed in Philadelphia, he had neither friends or resources and obtained employment with some surveyors who were at the time surveying the "wilds of Pennsylvania." He came over here about 1776 to fight in the Revoluionary War, but the war was over when he landed. He married Elizabeth Reinsel (or Reentzel) of Lebanon Co., PA Tradition tells us that Thomas and Elizabeth were the parents of eight children.
