Biography

Orpha^[1] Cope was born to Margaret (Baker) and William Cope in November 1841,^[2] in Tennessee.^[2]

Orpha married William Robbins on August 20, 1862, in White County, Tennessee.^[3] She was his third wife. Orpha and William were the parents of thirteen children^[4]; Elbert G., Wayman L., John D., Mellis Jane, John R., Carrick, Amanda L., Perry D., James Milus, Mary L. Kitty, Thomas, and Cora May. One child is unaccounted for and may have passed away as a young child.

William passed away on March 28, 1893.

No record has been found of the passing of Orpha. The last record of her is the 1900 United States Census when she was 59 years old.
