John Albert Holland, son of Robert Holland & Sarah Frances, was baptised on 30 October 1829 in Manchester, Lancashire, England.[2]

His family emigrated to South Africa.

First Marriage

John (bachelor, merchant's clerk) married Maria Elizabeth Armstrong (spinster) on 28 April 1858 in South Africa.[3] She passed away about January 15, 1878.[1]
