James was born in 1755. He is the son of York Crosley and Eunice Crosley. James was baptized with several of his siblings on 8-24-1755 at Old Lyme First Congregational Church, Lyme, Connecticut. Jim was sold at the same time as his brother, Prince, about 1775. He was purchased by John Lay's Uncle Joseph Sill for another person in the region. [1]
