Biography
John Beresford was born in April 1796. He was the son of Rt. Rev. George de la Poer Beresford and Frances Bushe. He married Harriet Eliza Wylly, daughter of Hon. William Wylly, on 6 May 1822. He died on 16 September 1856 at age 60. He held the office of Colonial Secretary of the Island of St. Vincent.
