Baptized in 1750 He was a pupil in Dr. Wheelock's Indian Charity School, at Lebanon from 1760 to around 1767, where he performed mediocrely as a student and was reassigned to working on the school's farm.
Isaiah married Mary Sowas, the granddaughter of the Eastern Pequot leader, Mary Momaho Sowas in North Stonington on November 30, 1769.
The Mohegans at Ben's Town chose him as the successor to his father, Ben Uncas III, a decision that was supported by Connecticut authorities.
I He died at Mohegan of consumption on Friday, April 6, 1770, and was buried with his father at the Little Plains burial ground in Norwich.
