Biography

Hugh Bancroft was born in 1879. He was the son of William Bancroft and Mary Shaw.[1] He married Mary Agnes Cogan on June 25, 1902 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.[2] After her death, he married Jane Wallis Waldron on January 15, 1907 in Boston, Massachusetts.[3]

Hugh attended Harvard and obtained a law degree. He also ran the Wall Street Journal for 5 years.[4]
