Biography

Private John Ball served with Col. Job Cushing's Regiment of Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

John Ball was born to James Ball and Sarah Harrington on July 18, 1738 in Westborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts.^[1][2][3]

He married first Abigail Wilder 3 Oct 1760.^[4] Children:

1. Nahum Ball (1761–1810) - m. Mary Thomas
2. Charlotte (1763–1829) - m. Joel Pratt
3. Patty (1765–1795) - m. Levi Bush
4. Abigail (1767–1832) - m. John Gates
5. John Ball Jr (1769–1828) - m. (1) Hannah Pierce (2) Eunice Merrifield

John married for a second time to Mary Baker.^[5] Children:

1. Lydia b. 1775

3. Susannah Ball b. 1783 m. John Winslow
4. Hannah b. 1785 m. Luther Ross.

He passed away in April 17, 1801. ^[6] He is buried at Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts.^[7]
