Biography
In 1870, Robert S Barbee was 1 year old and living with his parents Allen and Mary Barbee and siblings in Big Lick, Stanly, North Carolina. [1]
In 1880 he was 11 years old and living with his family in Big Lick, Stanly, North Carolina. [2]
He married Laura E McLester, daughter of Betsey J. Smith on 26 Feb 1888 in Big Lick Township, Stanly, North Carolina. [3]
In 1900 Robert and Laura were living in Big Lick, Stanly, North Carolina with their children Lydia B (11), Bessie M (5), Hurley C (6), Letha R (5) and Minnie E (1). [4]

Both Robert and his wife Laura have two FindAGrave memorials, in different cemeteries in the same town. Neither has a photo or cites their sources. [5] [6]
