Biography

John Deming was the son of Hezekiah and born 8 Jan 1735. He married Abia Bryan, daughter of Augustin and Mary (Thomas) Bryan. For many years Lt. John Deming was a prominent resident of West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, and an important man in the affairs of the town.

Lieutenant John Deming served with Berkshire County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

He was a Lieutenant of the militia in 1775 and at the outbreak of the Revolutionary War many town meetings were held in his house. ^{[citation needed]}
