Biography

Wayne Chester Lipsey was born on July 27, 1903 in Madison, Kansas. His parents were James Lucius "Lute" Lipsey and Ida Belle (Burke) Lipsey.

In 1905, Wayne was one year old and living with his parents, J B and Ida, and older brother Fred on the family farm in Madison Township, Greenwood County, Kansas. ^[1]

In 1910, Wayne was six years old and living with his parents and brothers on the family farm in Madison Township. ^[2]

In 1915, Wayne was 12 years old and living with his parents and brothers in a house his parents rented in Madison, Greenwood County, Kansas. ^[3]

On January 5, 1920, Wayne was 16 and living with his parents, five brothers and sister-in-law Vera Scott. ^[4]

On June 16, 1928, he married Florence O'Dell in Alva, Oklahoma. ^[5]

On April 10, 1930, Wayne and his wife Flora, both 26 years old, were living on a farm they rented in George Township, Harper County, Oklahoma. ^[6]

In 1940, Wayne and Flora lived on their George Township farm with their7-year-old daughter Dorothy. ^[7]

In 1950 he was 46 and living in Oklahoma with his wife and daughter Dorothy. ^[8]

Wayne passed away on May 24, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas.

He was buried in High Point Cemetery, Buffalo, Harper County, Oklahoma. ^[9]
