Biography
Charles is person 570 in DJB. Mr. Bishop was one of the latest slaveholders in Conn. In his will he leaves two slaves, Jack and Henry to his wife until they are 21 yrs. old, then they are to be free. He was considered very wealthy, owning much property in and around East Haven, also large tracts of land near Goshen and Wallingford, Conn. He had no children.
