Delayed birth certificate states 1897, tombstone 1896, have gone with the delayed birth certificate as it is supported by additional family notes. Of note though is that his WWII record states his birth year was 1878.
In September of 1918 he confirmed he was a medium height with a slender build, blue eyes and light hair. At the time he was living in Liberty, DeKalb County, Tennessee[7]
He died of a myocardial infarction on the 1st of May 1962 in McMinnville, Warren, Tennessee[2] and he would be buried in the New Bybees Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Warren County, Tennessee[4]
