Lena Rivers is a part of US Black heritage.

Lena Rivers was born about 1861^[1]-1863^[2] in Brooklyn^[3], New York^[1][2]. Her mother was born in New York^[2][3] and her father was born in South Carolina^[2] or New Jersey^[3]. She was the grandchild^[2] of Civil War veteran Peter Vogelsang of the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.
