She worked for Diemolding Corporation in Canastota for 25 years, retiring in 1982. Ruth was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Canastota and the Antique Engine Club of New York State. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making many clothes and wedding dresses, knitting and other handcrafts. She loved animals.

Ruth first married Albert Ricketts on June 21, 1944, in Canastota. Albert died June 18, 1963.

She later married Francis Hollenbeck on August 1, 1964, in Wampsville. Francis died February 14, 1972.

She then married William H. Camp on February 1, 1975, in Canastota.
