Biography

Latusha 'Tushy' Titus

Born about 1796, Latusha married Robert Day about 1816, both residents of Bastard Twp at the time. They first appear on the 1817 census of Bastard Twp with a young daughter.

Their farmhouse on Lot 5, Conc. 8 was full - they raised 2 girls and 6 boys, all born in Bastard Twp. between abt 1817 and 1837. From early census records, it appears two other children died young, including the young daughter mentioned above, and another son. So in total they had about 3 girls and 7 boys.

Latusha passed away after 1871 probably at her farmhouse, or the home of her son Albert. [1][2][3]
